Paul Cockerton Biography
Paul Cockerton
Co-founder and Communication Director
AQA 63336
Winning 'most likely actor to succeed' at his comprehensive prepared Paul for stardom, a promise that's yet to be fulfiled. Despite turning down a job 'as it's mostly made up' for a leading PR company when he was 21, somehow Paul ended up being the first PR person for the technology arm for Psion, subsequently leading PR teams from the world's biggest phone manufacturers to launch Symbian and have Bill Gates unwittingly promote the company by declaring that it was Microsoft's No.1 enemy.
5 years ago, Paul co-founded a consumer text service AQA 63336. In less than 3 months, with no budget, Paul got Radio 1 DJs reprimanded for talking too much about AQA. Since then, he's secured coverage across every UK broadsheet, tabloid, TV channel and radio.
He's developed an AQA Edinburgh Comedy Show which has been commissioned by the BBC, edited four books which were published to widespread publicity, and is currently producing a series of videos which provide the ultimate answers to life, the universe and everything. For less than the cost of a text, Paul will be answering growing businesses' most pressing question - how do you get PR without without paying a penny? And is it worth it?
